So I’m an avid fan of GG and when they started the whole Dan and Blair arc in season 4, with them slowly evolving their animosity into friendship, I was at first repulsed by it. I was never a chair fan, if any thing I really liked nair! But when Dan and Blair started hanging out, I was drawn to their relationship. It was actually well written! From season 4 up until 5x19. I’m glad the writers didn’t rush their storyline and gave it time to grow and flourish and actually build itself a prominent fan base!

Anywho… The spoiler I wanted to mention… I read something from an article, I can’t remember the source online at the moment, but it mentioned that if gossip girl was the hunger games, then the GG finale was the end of catching fire. If any of you have read the hunger games, you’d know that by the end of catching fire:

Peeta and Katniss are basically together as the quarter quell is disrupted and are ripped apart from outside forces that they cannot control (the Capitol and District 13)

Katniss finds out that Peeta is held captive by the Capitol and is devastated by this news.

Gale shows up and is there for Katniss.

Pretty much all chaos breaks loose and no one knows what’s going on and some characters aren’t who they say they are.

An we are left with a huge cliffhanger at the end.

In retrospect… Gossip girls finale was said to be similar in a sense that there TRULY is more to the story! Come on.. Katniss and Peeta found each other in the end of the series! I think Dan and Blair might just be endgame! Why would they give chair their “perfect reunion” now!? It’s their last reunion. Chair is the real prop, leading up to dair. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been so open ended (DS sex, no dair breakup or closure, etc)
