I’ve been watching a lot of Dawson’s creek lately and I’ve noticed a trend. Joey is always stuck between the two male characters, her childhood soulmate-Dawson, and her “true love” Pacey. She’s never really been sure who to be with, not until the end of the series during the finale. It’s interesting because she always finds herself going back to Dawson even though things never go smoothly between them. Just because, he’s her soulmate and they share an extensive history, etc. But when she was with Pacey, she was able to grow as a person and her character was able to find true love- this notion of true love was such a big hint that they were end game! The whole running away together on a sailboat called true love, how they used that sail boat aka their relationship as metaphor! All of their banter and cute little fights, shared looks, smiles!

How does this relate to Dan and Blair and Chuck? I think Chuck and Blair are soul mates. The twisted kind of soul mates, who are tied together and always end up coming back to one another. And almost 99% of the time, something prevents them from getting their happy ever after (ie season one finale-Bart’s advise deters chuck from committing, season 2-Bart’s death (winter ball), season 3-Chuck trading Blair for a hotel, as per uncle Jacks request, and chuck sleeping with Jenny before he proposes, season 4-Prince Louie, season 5-the car accident (5x10) and Blair choosing Dan (5x17)

A recurrent theme is present here, these two are so dysfunctional!
And the universe is never in favor of them being together, cuz something or someone always comes in between their shot at happiness!

As for Dan and Blair, the writers have been hinting “Blair’s happiness lies with Dan” and it’s interesting that they decided to pull out leg during the finale and give us an ending we did not expect! But I think theres so much more to the story! Even if chuck and Blair are together 6x1-6x9, I think they’ll give us dair 6x10 and we mite get our end game plus Blair’s happiness!

Then again, this might just be my unlikely prediction! So for now, I’ll be happy knowing pacey and Joey ended up together becuz it just wouldn’t have been right if she ended up with Dawson! Let’s see how things play out with Blair come series finale
