hen blair calls dan in the beginning of the episode, and georgina answers.. blair mentions…”i know you’ve been dodging my calls all summer but i talked to nate and no one knows where serena is. i thought you two might be together, hating me. are you with her?”
when dan and blair talk alone after he finds out that chuck and blair did not spend the summer together… he says. “wait a second blair, you two spent the summer apart…”
there’s something fishy going on here… i have a theory.. in 5x24, i think after Serena confronted Blair… about how she “stole” Dan from her. Maybe blair realized that serena really loved dan and wanted to be selfless and give up her relationship w/dan so that serena can… i dunno.. get what she wants. maybe that would explain blair being upset with serena, because she had to give up dan. I’m just guessing here…
and then.. it gave her enough reasoning to go back to chuck. since she realized, maybe in her warped logic, that dan and serena are meant to be.. therefore, chuck is her ultimate endgame too.
hmmmmmm…. we shall see
and i think the reason why the writers decided to have blair and chuck make a pact instead of putting them together right away… is to make it a fair game for everyone. technically dan blair and chuck are all single… who knows, who she’ll end up with. i foresee some dan and blair flirting and possible hooking up in the near future, esp since he’s rumored to be staying/rooming with her haha..
